RNT Capital backed by Mr. Ratan N. Tata leads Series A round for Archilogic

We are pleased to announce the successful closing of our Series A equity round led by RNT Capital, a global investment platform backed by Mr. Ratan N. Tata. In addition, Lalitesh Katragadda joined as an advisor. Mr. Katragadda co-founded Google India in 2003 and is the creator of Google Map Maker.

Archilogic’s 3d.io platform applies AI to create, edit, and share architectural content on the web. The world’s exteriors are mapped – but we spend 90% of our time indoors. While most buildings have plans these are not easily accessible, standardized, and understood. Archilogic is addressing this challenge by creating the world’s biggest building database, making building information consistent, connected and searchable. With customers in 40+ countries 3d.io is currently digitizing more than 100m sq ft of 2D plans per month in order to unlock their true potential. Whether it’s about designing the new workplace or marketing property in interactive 3D – the 3d.io platform empowers engineers to focus on their core tasks by taking care of complex spatial data work-flows.

“We are excited that our traction in bringing architecture to the web has attracted an investment from RNT Capital. Buildings are where we all spend 90% of our time, and yet this asset class hasn’t yet made it onto the web. The scalability of our efforts has demonstrated the feasibility and potential for helping anyone truly understand their living and working environments, and we see that as the stepping stone to a world in which we learn how to make the best out of these spaces. As VR and AR hardware continues to improve we are particularly excited to see that the developer community is using our web-based APIs and services,” said Tomas Polach, CTO and Co-Founder of Archilogic.
